How Garvi Gala began

A small act of care became a student community.

Years ago, Divya Patel met students in Ahmedabad who had rooms, but not the care, food and response they needed. She began with her own flats and a simple standard: students should feel safe, heard and at home.

Meals were prepared with personal attention, cleanliness was checked like a home, and every resident’s concern was treated as something that deserved a real answer.

That is still the idea behind Garvi Gala today: practical rooms, managed routines, food, support and a community parents can trust.
